The CPN (UML), Rasuwa, has enforced an indefinite strike in the district calling for legal action against the perpetrator behind Friday’s Khukuri attack. In a statement signed by UML District Chairman Cornel Lama, the party has also called for action against an assistant sub-inspector of Syafrubeshi Police Station accused of allowing the culprit to escape. The shutdown has affected normal life in Rasuwa. Police have intensified their search for the culprit and launched an investigation against ASI Madhu Kant Khadka. On Friday, a youth attack another with Khukuri–a traditional Nepali sword–in Syafrubeshi following which an irate crowd set a motorbike on fire and vandalised the police station. Phurpu Sagbo Tamang, who was injured in the attack, is receiving treatment at the Grande International Hospital in Kathmandu. शुक्रबार खुकुरी प्रहार घटनाका दोषीलाई कारबाहीको माग गर्दै नेकपा (एमाले) रसुवाले शनिबारदेखि आन्दोलन सुरु गरेको छ । एमालेका जिल्ला अध्यक्ष कर्णेल लामाद्वारा हस्ताक्षरित विज्ञप्तिअनुसार खुकुरी प्रहार गर्ने दोषी र दोषी भगाएको आरोप लागेका स्याफ्रुबेंसी प्रहरी चौकीका प्रहरी सहायक निरीक्षकलाई कारबाही गर्नुपर्ने माग गरिएको छ । एमालेको आन्दोलनका कारण रसुवाको जनजीवन प्रभावित भएको छ । प्रहरीले भने दोषीको खोजी जारी रहेको जनाएको छ । प्रहरी सहायक निरीक्षक मधुकान्त खड्कामथि छानबिन सुरु भइसकेको बताइएको छ । शुक्रबार स्याफ्रुबेँसीका एक युवकले अर्का युवकलाई खुकुरी प्रहार गरेपछि आक्रोशित भिडले एक मोटरसाइसकलमा आगजनी गर्नाका साथै प्रहरी चौकी स्याफ्रुबेँसीसमेत तोडफोड गरेको थियो । खुकुरी प्रहारबाट घाइते फुर्पु साग्बो तामाङको काठमाडौँस्थित ग्य्रान्डी अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय अस्पतालमा उपचार भइरहेको बताइएको छ । बिहीबार राति नौकुण्ड गाउँपालिका, यार्सामा भएको खुकुरी प्रहारबाट घाइते भएका व्यक्तिको पनि सोही अस्पतालमा उपचार भइरहेको जनाइएको छ ।
