CPN-UML organized a demonstration in Janakpur, demanding it's conversion to a Metropolitan city on May 26. The demonstration was carried out in the appeal of Dhanusha District Committee. The demonstration was led by central member Jal Kumari Mahato and District Chairperson Raj Kishore Yadav. The protest occurred because of the reconstruction of the rural municipality as per the feasibility of Congress. Shree Prasad Shah, Jali Kumari Mahato and Raj Kishor Yadav and some other leaders of Congress addressed the assembly after the demonstration. They have also submitted the memorandum to the government via UML's Chief District Head. जनकपुरलाई महानगरपालिका बनाउन माग गर्दै नेकपा एमालेले शुक्रवार जनकपुरमा प्रदर्शन गरेको छ । एमाले धनुषा जिल्ला कमिटीको आह्वानमा जनकपुरलाई महानगर बनाउन माग गर्दै जुलुस प्रदर्शन भएको हो । जुलुसको नेतृत्व केन्द्रीय सदस्य जुलीकुमारी महतो,जिल्ला अध्यक्ष राजकिशोर यादव लगायलते गरेका थिए । एमालेले रघुनाथपुपरलाई गाउँपालिकानै कायम गर्न भनी स्थानीय जनताले गरेको मागमा ऐक्यबद्धता प्रकट गरेको प्रदर्शनपछि युवा संघका सचिवालय सदस्य सन्जिकुमार झाले बताए । रघुनाथपुरलाई कांग्रेसको अनुकुलताका लागि तोडफोड गरिएको भन्दै त्यहाँ आन्दोलन भइरहेको छ । प्रदर्शनपछि आयोजित सभालाई एमाले नेताहरु श्रीप्रसाद साह,जुलीकुमारी महतो,राजकिशोर यादव लगायतले सम्बोधन गरेका थिए । एमालेले प्रमुख जिल्ला अधिकारी मार्फत जनकपुरलाई महानगर बनाउन सरकार समक्ष ज्ञापनपत्र समेत बुझाएको छ ।
