Police have arrested 42-year-old Deurame Rokaya of Bachalaba in Thantikandh rural municipality-5 on the charge of attempting to rape a 10-year-old minor girl on Wednesday. Rokaya reportedly attempted to rape the minor girl at a relative's house in Thantikandh bazar. Locals took control of Rokaya and handed him over to the police after the girl shouted for help. He is being held in the custody of District Police Office. Meanwhile, the girl underwent medical examination at District hospital. Police are further investing on the matter, informed inspector Ekindra Bahadur Khadka. दैलेखको ठाँटीकाँध गाउँपालिका-५ पाचलाबाका ४२ वर्षका देउरामे रोकाय १० वर्षकी बालिका बलात्कार गर्न खोजेको आरोप पक्राउ परेका छन् । बुधबार दिउँसो ठाँटीकाँध बजारस्थित आफन्तको घरमा आरोपितले बलात्कारको प्रयत्न गरेको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ । जोरजुलुमले बलात्कारको प्रयत्न गरेपछि बालिकाले चिच्याएपछि घटनास्थल आएका नजिकका छिमेकीले आरोपित देउरामे रोकायलाई ठाँटीकाँध प्रहरीमा बुझाएका थिए । उनलाई जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयको हिरासत राखिएको छ भने बालिकाको स्वास्थ्य परीक्षण जिल्ला अस्पतालमा गराइएको छ । घटनाको अनुसन्धान कार्य भइरहेको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयका प्रवक्ता प्रहरी निरीक्षक एकीन्द्रबहादुर खड्काले बताउनुभयो ।
