The District Court of Saptari has ordered to sentence Fatama Khatun, 25 of Chunnamasta rural municipality-3 for one year on 13th July on a charge of polygamy. The court has also ordered to penalise him for Rs 5,000. Accused first wife Hamija Khatun, 21 had lodged a complaint against her husband for polygamy at Area Police Office on January 12. A single bench district court judge Mahendra Prasad Pokharel issue the verdict against the accused on 13th July.
