Police on Saturday arrested 28-year-old Binod Nepali, of Tatopani rural municipality-4 in Jumla on the charge of taking hostage of and raping a 19-year-old girl. According to Area Police Office Kohalpur, the arrested has been charged with kidnapping and ransom seeking as well as raping the hostage. The victim's parents had informed the police on July 12 about her disappearance. On July 14 the victim's mother lodged a complaint at Area Police Office Kohalpur stating that she was called by her daughter's kidnapper seeking rupees 50 thousand ransom. A search team deployed by the APO arrested the alleged kidnapper from Kohalpur municipality-11 on Saturday July 31. They also found that he had held the victim hostage in a room. Inspector Suresh Kafle of the APO informed that the victim underwent medical examination on Sunday. Police are further investigating on the incident. एक १९ वर्षीया किशोरीलाई अपहरण गरी बलात्कार गरेको घटनाका आरोपित जुम्ला जिल्ला तातोपानी गाविस-४ का २८ वर्षीय विनोद नेपालीलाई असार ३१ गते इलाका प्रहरी कार्यालयले गिरफ्तार गरेको छ । आरोपितमाथि किशोरीलाई बन्धक बनाइ फिरौती मागेको तथा बलात्कार गरेको अभियोगसमेत रहेको इलाका प्रहरी कार्यालय, कोहलपुरले जनाएको छ । पीडित पक्षले असार २८ गते किशोरी बेपत्ता भएको खबर प्रहरीलाई दिएकोमा असार ३० गते पीडितकी आमालाई फोन गरी ५० हजार रूपियाँ फिरौती मागेको भन्दै इलाका प्रहरी कार्यालयमा उजुरी परेको थियो । प्रहरीले अनुसन्धानकै क्रममा कोहलपुर नपा-११ बाट आरोपितलाई गिरफ्तार गरेको र पीडितलाई कोठामा बन्धक बनाएर राखेको अवस्थामा फेला पारेको इलाका प्रहरी कार्यालयले जनाएको छ । शरीर बन्धक बनाइ बलात्कार गरेको प्रारम्भिक अनुसन्धानबाट देखिएको र पीडितको स्वास्थ्य परीक्षण साउन १ गते भएको इलाका प्रहरी कार्यालयका डिएसपी सुरेश काफ्लेले बताए ।
