Vegetable and Fruit vendors at Bharatpur Metropolitan City are agitated against the administration for calling tenders to run the wholesale market at Lions Chowk. The agitators picketed the administrative office on July 19 as a protest against the current move of the officials.The metropolitan office has called for tendors from investors on June 22 for a period of 30 days with the contract between the agitators and authority expiring July 14. The agitators have blamed the authority of making such move without prior consultation with the concerned.They also demanded that the authority call them for a dialogue urgently. However, the executive officer of the metropolitan office said the tendor was called as per legal provision. लायन्स चोकस्थित तरकारी तथा फलफूल थोक बजारमा व्यवसाय गर्दै आएका व्यवसायी आन्दोलित भएका छन् । उनीहरुले बुधबार भरतपुर महानगरपालिका परिसरमा धर्ना दिएका छन् । महानगरपालिकाको स्वामित्व रहेको सो थोक बजारलाई टेन्डर मार्फत भाडामा दिने गरी टेन्डर अवाहान गरेपछि व्यवसायी विरोधमा उत्रिएका हुन् । सो क्षेत्रमा व्यवसाय गर्दै आएका व्यवसायी र महानगरबीचको सम्झौता असार मसान्तदेखि सकिएपछी टेन्डर निकालेको थियो। साउन १ गतेदेखि कायम हुने गरी २०७७ असार मसान्तसम्म ठेकेदारमार्फत थोक तथा खुद्रा बजार संचालन गर्ने गरी असार ८ गते तीस दिने बोलपत्र आवहान गरेको छ। लायन्स चोकको थोक बजार संचालन गर्न मासिक १२ लाख र बालकुमारी खुद्र बजार संचालन गर्न मासिक १ लाख कम्तिमा कबोल गर्नुपर्ने र वार्षिक १० प्रतिशतले भाडा वृद्धि हुने गरी टेन्डर निकालिएको छ । फलफूल तथा तरकारी थोक बजार व्यवसायी संघका अध्यक्ष थिरप्रसाद धितालले व्यवसाय विस्थापन गर्ने गरी टेन्डर निकालिएको आरोप लगाए । उद्योग वाणिज्य संघ चितवनका वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष राजु श्रेष्ठले आन्दोलित व्यवसायीसंग महानगरपालिकाले तत्काल वार्ता गर्नु पर्ने बताए ।यता,महानगरपालिकाका कार्यकारी अधिकृत प्रेमराज जोशीले ऐननियमसंगत टेन्डर निकालिएको बताए ।
