Locals of Janakpur sub-metropolitan city ward-4 staged transportation strike at Bidhyapati Chowk today protesting against the growing number of road accidents due to potholes and pits on the road. The potholes were created during the digging process for maintenance of telecom and drinking water pipes about a week ago. Transportation along Jatahi road section has been obstructed due to the strike. A local, Nanda Kumar Jha, stated that the strike would continue until the potholes and pits on the road were filled and the condition of the road was made safe. सडकमा एक साताअघि खनिएको खाल्डो नपुरिएका कारण दिनहुँ दुर्घटना हुन थालेपछि जनकपुर उपमहानगरपालिका वडा नं.४ विद्यापति चौकमा स्थानीयवासीहरुले दिउँसो चक्काजाम गरेका छन् । दुरसंचार र खानेपानीको मर्मतका लागि विद्यापतिको स्माक नजिकै खनिएको खाल्डो नपुरेका कारण त्यस ठाउँमा विगत ४ दिनदेखि दिनहँु दुर्घटना हुँदै आएका छन् । चक्काजामका कारण सो चोक हुँदै जाने जटही सडक खण्ड समेत अवरुद्ध भएको छ भने तीन पाँग्रे समेत अवरुद्ध भएका छन् । समस्या समाधान नभएसम्म चक्काजाम यथावत रहने स्थानीय नन्दकुमार झाले बताएका छन् ।
