Students of Agriculture and Forestry University vandalised and set fire to the the central administrative office of Rampur Agriculture and Forestry University of Chitwan on August 1 for giving affiliations to private colleges instead of establishing its constituent campuses. They set ablaze the main door of the office and broke window panes. Students union have blamed the college administration of opportunities for financial embezzlement as a reason behind giving affiliations. It is said that preparations were being made to provide affiliations to various colleges in Nawalparasi, Surkhet, Saptari, Parasi, Jhapa, Kathmandu and Tikapur. आङ्गिक कलेजको स्थापना नगरी निजी कलेजलाई सम्बन्धन दिन लागेको विरोधमा कृषि तथा वन विज्ञान विश्वविद्यालय केन्द्रीय कार्यालय रामपुरमा विद्यार्थीहरूले साउन १७ गते बिहान तोडफोड गरेका छन् । विद्यार्थीहरूले कार्यालयको मुख्य ढोकामा आगजनी गर्नुका साथै झ्यालका सिसा फुटाएका हुन् । सम्बन्धनको विषयलाई लिएर असार ६ गते विद्यार्थीले कार्यालयमा तालाबन्दी गरेका थिए । विश्व विद्यालयकै पदाधिकारीको शेयर रहेको कलेजमा पहिला सम्बन्धन दिनुमा आर्थिक चलखेल रहेको विद्यार्थी सङ्गठनले आरोप लगाउँदै आएका छन् । विश्वविद्यालयले दिने सम्बन्धनका विषयमा विवाद बढ्दै आएको छ । नेपाल सरकारले सात प्रदेशमा स्थापना गर्ने भनेको विश्वविद्यालयको आङ्गिक कलेजको स्थापना नगरी निजी कलेजलाई सम्बन्धन दिनेतर्फ विश्वविद्यालयका पदाधिकारीहरू लागेको आरोप विद्यार्थीहरूको छ । विश्व विद्यालयले नवलपरासीको गैँडाकोटमा दुई, परासी, झापा, ईटहरी, सप्तरी, सुर्खेत, टिकापुर र काठमाडौँ लगायतमा एक/एक गरी १० नीजि कलेजलाई सम्बन्धन दिने तयारी गरेको जनाइएको छ ।
