Doctors at Narayani Sub Regional Hospital have halted the outpatient services demanding action against the people who had allegedly misbehaved with a doctor on Sunday. The agitating doctors submitted a memorandum of their demand to the Parsa district chief and staged a protest rally in Birgunj on Tuesday. On Sunday, Dr Chandani Pandey was harassed by the relatives of Sayara Khatun, who had given birth to a stillborn baby at home. Khatun’s relatives claimed that she gave birth to a stillborn baby because Dr Pandey had sent her home saying that the baby was not yet due. Dr Pandey denied the allegation and said that she had advised Khatun’s relatives to admit her to the hospital in case there is a complication.
