Doctors of Banke district have boycotted their duties as part of their protest against the government’s decision to formulate a law that makes the concerned doctor liable to pay compensation if his or her negligence is proven responsible for a patient’s death. The NMA Banke district chapter said “jail without bail” should be implemented immediately so that doctors across the country can serve their patients without fear. Thousands of patients of Banke and nearby districts have been affected by the protest. डाक्टरहरुको आन्दोलनका कारण बाँकेको स्वास्थ्य सेवा प्रभावित भएको छ उपचार गर्दा बिरामीको ज्यान गएमा उपचारमा सम्बन्धित चिकित्सकबाटै क्ष्यतिपूर्ति तिराउने बिधेयक ल्याउने सरकारको निर्णय बिरुद्ध चिकित्सक संघले बाँकेले शुक्रबार देखि आकस्मिक बाहेकका सबै सेवा बन्द गरेको छ ।
