Tension ran high on the premises of the Ministry of Education in Singha Durbar as leaders of nine student unions scuffled with ministry employees on Friday. The leaders of student unions other than Nepal Student Union had reached the ministry chanting slogans against Minister for Education Gopalman Shrestha. However, Shrestha was not at his office when they tried to break the security cordon to enter his office chamber. However, no one was injured in the incident, police said. The students have been protesting against the passage of the Education (ninth amendment) Bill and Minister Shrestha’s alleged move to grant affiliation to various colleges on behalf of CTEVT. संयुक्त विद्यार्थी संगठनले शुक्रबार शिक्षामन्त्री गोपालमान श्रेष्ठलाई कार्यकक्षमै घेराउ गरेका छन् । शिक्षा ऐन (नवौं संशोधन) खारेजीलगायत माग गर्दै आन्दोलनरत विद्यार्थीहरुले सिंहदरबारस्थित मन्त्रालयमा पुगेर घेराउ तथा नाराबाजी गरेका हुन् । उनीहरुले शिक्षामन्त्री राजीनाम दे, सीटीईभीटीको सम्बन्धन खारेज गरलगायत नारा लगाएका थिए । ज्ञापनपत्र बुझाउन भन्दै शिक्षामन्त्री कार्यकक्ष पुगेका विद्यार्थीहरु एक्कासी नाराबाजीमा उत्रिएपछि केहीबेर मन्त्रालयमा तनाव सिर्जना भएको थियो । शैक्षिक सत्र सुरु भएको एक महिना बितेपछि करोडौंको चलखेल गरेर सीटीईभीटीमा सम्बन्धन दिएको, शिक्षा ऐनको नवौं संशोधनले लाखौं विद्यार्थीको भविष्य अन्धकारमा पुर्‍याएको, मेडिकल शुल्कमा मनपरी गराएकोमा आफूहरुको विरोध रहेको अखिल(क्रान्तिकारी)को उपाध्यक्ष सुरेन्द्र बस्नेतले बताए । श्रृंखलाबद्ध शैक्षिक अपराध गर्न थालेकाले आरोप लगाउँदै बिहीबार बसेको संयुक्त विद्यार्थी संगठन बैठकले शिक्षा मन्त्रीलाई सार्वजनिक बहिष्कार गर्ने निर्णय गरेको थियो ।
