A three-year-old girl was raped and murdered at Damauti of Triyuga Municipality-5 in Udayapur yesterday. Sankar Rai,18, of the same place raped the minor and subsequently strangulated her to death. Rai had come to his uncle’s home to receive Bhai Tika from his sister. He had been living at his maternal uncle’s home at Bokse-10 in Triyuga Municipality. After the girl went missing, villagers had launched a search for the minor. The body was found in a mustard field at 1:00 am today morning. After the body was discovered, locals took Rai under control as he had been seen playing with the girl on Saturday. Local Dev Kumar Rai said Sankar admitted to his crime. The culprit has been handed over to the police. उदयपुरको त्रियुगा नगरपालिका–१५ दमौटीमा शनिबार राति तीन वर्षकी बालिकाको १८ वर्षका युवकले हत्या गरेका छन् । तीन वर्षे बालिकालाई बलात्कार प्रयास गरेका बेला बालिका रोएकाले युवकले हत्या गरेको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ । बालिकाको हत्या गर्ने १८ वर्षका शंकर राईलाई पक्राउ गरिएको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय उदयपुरका प्रहरी उपरीक्षक नवराज भट्टले जानकारी दिनुभयो । शनिबार राति १२ बजे तिर यो घटना भएको हो । बालिकालाई बलात्कार गर्न लाग्दा रोएपछि मुख थुनेर हत्या गरेको आरोपी राईले स्वीकार गरेको प्रहरीको भनाई छ । बालिकाकको शव पोष्टमार्टमकालागि जिल्ला अस्पतालमा राखिएको छ ।
