An 18-year-old woman was tortured and assaulted by her mother-in-law and husband for not bringing dowry on her marriage. Geeta Paudel has married to Chandra Bahadur Poudel 7 months ago in April. Poudel's father had denied any dowry from Geeta's family during the time of marriage. But after his death, her husband and mother-in-law had been pestering her for dowry. As per Geeta, they made her sleep in the cowshed and even beat her up. Geeta was not allowed to talk to her parents. When her parents got to know about Geeta's condition, they faced backlashes from the in-laws. Geeta has appealed for justice to the concerned. देशका धेरैजसो स्थानमा दाइजोविरोधी विवाह भइरहेका बेला मोरङको उर्लाबारीमा भने दाइजो नल्याएको भन्दै एक महिला घर निकाला भएकी छिन्।विवाह गरेर ल्याएको ७ महिनामा नै उर्लाबारी-२ भुसीकी गीता पौडेल घर निकाला भएकी हुन्।१८ वर्षीय गीताको गत वैशाखमा चन्द्र बहादुर पौडेलसंग विवाह भएको थियो। एसइइ दिएर उच्च शिक्षाको तयारीमा रहेकी गीतलाई पौडेलका बुबा तुलबहादुर लगायत घर परिवारले विवाहको समयमा दाइजो नचाहिने बताएका थिए।तर, असारमा तुलबहादुरको निधन भएपछी सासू र पतिले उनलाई मानसिक यातना दिन थालेका थिए।पौडेल परिवारले उनलाई यातना दिनुका साथै भैंसीगोठमा रहेका थिए।पिडित गीतालाई माइतमा फोन सम्पर्क गर्न नदिने,धम्क्याउने,कुटपिट गर्ने गरेको बताइन् ।उनले आफुलाई अन्याय भएको भन्दै न्यायका लागि पहल गरिदिन आग्रह गरिन्। छोरीलाई घर निकाला गरेर पशु सरह गोठमा राखिएको खबरपछी माइतपक्ष पुग्दा उनीहरुमाथि नै घरपरिवारले विभिन्न लान्छना लगाएको पिडित पक्षको भनाइ छ।
