Students have padlocked the office of vice-chancellor of Mid-western University professor doctor Upendra Kumar Koirala citing the university's failure to adress the demands of the Engineering faculty students of the university. Independent student union leader Jhakka Bahadur Shahi said that they had padlocked the vice-chancellor's office after the university resorted to supressing the students using police. He also accused the vice-chancellor of engaging in corruption misusing his post. मध्यपश्चिमाञ्चल विश्वविधालयका उपकुलपति प्रा डा. उपेन्द्रकुमार कोइरालाको कार्यकक्षमा विधार्थीहरुले तालाबन्दी गरेका छन्। इन्जिनियरिङ संकायका विधार्थीका माग पुरा नगरेको भन्दै स्वतन्त्र विधार्थी युनियनले तालाबन्दी गरेको हॊ। तालाबन्दीपछि प्रशासनिक कामकाज प्रभावित हुन पुगेको छ। विधार्थीका माग वार्ता र छलफलबाट सम्बोधन गर्नुका साटो प्रहरी बोलाएर दमन गरेकोले तालाबन्दी गर्न बाध्य भएको स्वोवियुले जनायो। स्वोवियु सभापति झक्कबहादुर शाहीले रिक्त प्राध्यापक नियुक्ति र संकायमा ल्याबको व्यवस्थापन गर्नुपर्ने माग पुरा नभएको बताए। उपकुलपति पदिय दुरुप्रयोग गरी नीतिगत भ्रष्टाचार गरेको आन्दोलनरत बिधार्थिले आरोप लगाए।
