Nepal Army Major Prabhab Bikram Shah has been arrested on charge of sexually abusing a minor girl. NA spokesperson Brig Gen Gokul Bhandari said on Wednesday that Maj Shah, who is currently in military custody, has been charged with a sexual abuse case that will be investigated by Nepal Police. Rabi Poudel, chief of Metropolitan Police Circle in Tinkune, Kathmandu, said Maj Shah, who was stationed in Baglung district, is accused of sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl in his relative’s house. The girl had lodged a police complaint against the NA officer with the assistance of an NGO. (PR)
