The situation in Dipayal of Doti district took a bad turn on Thursday. Police lobbed tear gas shells to disperse angry protestors leading to 13 injuries on both sides. Deputy Inspector of Police (DSP) Shiva Bahadur Singh of DPO, Doti, informed that 13 rounds of tear gas shells were fired. Protesters in Dipayal burnt Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba's effigy to protest the government decision to name Dhangadhi as the temporary capital of Province 7. Protests in Dipayal got out of control after the government announced Dhangadhi as temporary capital of Province 7. The demonstrators pelted stones at Regional Administration Office and tried to set it on fire. However, the attempt was foiled by police who used tear gas and batons to disperse the angry mobs. DSP Singh said nine police personnels were injured in the confrontation with the protestors. He added that their condition is normal. Likewise, four protestors sustained injuries in the clash. The situation of one injured, Bharat BK of Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality-4, has been reported to be critical. He has been referred to Seti Zonal Hospital in Dhangadhi for further treatment. . सरकारले प्रदेश नं ७ को अस्थायी राजधानी धनगढी तोकेपछि डोटीमा प्रदर्शन सुरू भएको राससले जनाएको छ । क्षेत्रीय प्रशासन कार्यालय दीपायललगायत अन्य क्षेत्रीय कार्यालयमा ढुङ्गामुढा, तोडफोड र आगजनी गर्न थालेपछि माघ ४ गते प्रदर्शनकारी र प्रहरीबिच झडप भएको छ । भीडलाई नियन्त्रणमा लिन प्रहरीले लाठीचार्ज गर्नुका साथै १३ सेल अश्रुग्यास प्रहार गरेको जनाएको छ । दोहोरो झडपमा परी चार जना आन्दोलनकारी, पाँच जना नेपाल प्रहरी र चार जना सशस्त्र प्रहरीका जवान घाइते भएको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयमा डिएसपी शिवबहादुर सिंहले बताए । घाइतेमध्ये दीपायल सिलगढी नगरपालिका–४ का भरत विकको अवस्था गम्भीर भएकाले उपचारका लागि उनलाई धनगढी पठाइएको छ । यस्तै केआइसिंह– ७ का करी भण्डारी, दीपायल सिलगढी नगरपालिका–१ का नारायण खड्का र पुष्कर द्वारिया घाइते भएका छन् । उनीहरुको उपचार दीपायलस्थित सुजङ्ग अस्पतालमा भइरहेको छ । अन्य दर्जनौँ मानिसलाई चोटपटक लागेको छ । हजारौँको सङ्ख्यामा आएका आन्दोलनकारीको भीडमा बढीजसो महिला छन् । आक्रोशित आन्दोलनकारीले तीन ओटा प्रहरी बिट र सडक कार्यालयको टिपरमा समेत तोडफोड गरेका छन् ।
