The province capital struggle committee of Dharan has torched the copy of government decision to make Biratnagar as the temporary capital of Province 1. The province capital struggle committee has also announced different protest program. The struggle committee argue that Dharan is a suitable place according to geographical location and cultural perspective. The locals of Dharan are protesting from one month demanding Dharan as capital of Province no. 1. प्रदेश नम्बर १ को अस्थायी मुकाम विराटनगर तोकिएको विरोधमा धरानमा त्यससम्बन्धी सरकारी निर्णयको प्रति जलाइएको छ । धरान राजधानी बनाऔँ अभियान स्वतन्त्र समितिले बुधबार भानुचोकमा निर्णयको प्रति जलाएको हो । समितिले चरणबद्ध आन्दोलनको घोषणासमेत गरेको छ । भौगोलिक र सामुदायिक हिसाबले सरकारको निर्णय त्रुटिपूर्ण रहेको दाबी गर्दै प्रदेश नम्बर १ को राजधानी धरान बनाउनुपर्ने समितिको निष्कर्ष छ । समितिले एक महिनादेखि धरानलाई राजधानी बनाउन दबाबमूलक कार्यक्रम गरिरहेको छ ।
