Police have arrested a person from Shivanath rural municipality-3 in Baitadi on the charge of causing miscarriage of is wife by beating her. Police arrested 40-year-old Bir Singh Saud on February 20 on the basis of a complaint lodged by his wife Nanda Devi Saud, 40yrs, on February 19. In the complaint, Nanda Devi stated that she was severely beaten by her husband on February 13 due to which she had a miscarriage. She had only recently returned from India after undergoing treatment there. Police are further investigating on the incident. शिवनाथ गाँउपालिका-३ माहाकालीकी ४० वर्षीया नन्दादेवी साउदलाई कुटपिट गरी गर्भपतन गराएको आरोपमा प्रहरीले ४० वर्षीय पति बिरसिंह साउदलाई फागुन ८ गते गिरफ्तार गरेको छ । पीडित महिलालाई आरोपितले फागुन १ गते कुटपिट गर्दा उनको गर्भपतन भएको थियो । पीडित महिलाले भारतमा उपचार गरी नेपाल फर्केपछि फागुन ७ गते प्रहरीमा उजुरी दिएकी थिइन् । पीडितले दिएको उजुरीका आधारमा अनुसन्धानका लागि आरोपितलाई गिरफ्तार गरिएको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ ।
