The main gate of Mahendra Bindeshwori Multiple Campus (MBMC), Rajbiraj has been padlocked in protest against the government’s decision to merge the campus into newly established Rajshri Janak University (RJU). The padlocking that has affected the classes and administrative work, is part of a preannounced indefinite banda called by the college staffers demanding correction in the government decision. The agitation is led by Nepal Lecturers’ Association, the MBMC unit, Rajbiraj. The government had recently decided to merge three colleges including the MBMC, Satyanarayan Suryanarayan Marabaita Multiple Campus into the RJU. महेन्द्र विन्देश्वरी बहुमुखी क्याम्पस राजविराजलाई नवस्थापित राजर्षि जनक विश्वविद्यालयमा गाभ्ने सरकारी निर्णायको विरोध गर्दै आजदेखि अनिश्चित तालाबन्दी गरिएको छ । नेपाल प्राध्यापक संघ क्याम्पस एकाइ राजविराजको नेतृत्वमा क्याम्पसका प्राध्यापक, शिक्षक तथा कर्मचारीले उक्त निर्णय नसच्याइएको भन्दै आज क्याम्पसको मूलढोकामै तालाबन्दी गरेको क्याम्पसका निर्मल न्यौपानेले बताए । विश्वविद्यालयमा जनकपुरको राराव क्याम्पस, सिरहाको सत्यनारायण सूर्यनारायण मरबैता बहुमुखी क्याम्पस र राजविराजको मविव क्याम्पस गाभिएको छ । सो क्याम्पसमा स्थायी, निजी, करार र आंशिक गरी १२१ प्राध्यापक र ४१ कर्मचारी कार्यरत छन् । तालाबन्दी भएपछि पढाइ र दैनिक प्रशासनिक कामसमेत प्रभावित भएको छ ।
