Police have arrested Umesh Joshi,26, of Purchaudi Municipality-1, Haat on March 3 on charge of killing 16-year-old Dammara Bhatta of Purchaudi-1 after rape. The victim’s party had lodged complaint at District Police Office of Baitadi against the accused and he was arrested based on the complaint lodged according to inspector Rajendra Bahadur Singh of DPO Baitadi. The victim’s body was recovered by the police in hanging condition and the postmortem was done at District Hospital. पुर्चौडी नपा-१ की १६ वर्षीया डम्मरा भट्टलाई बलात्कारपछि हत्या गरेको आरोपमा पुर्चौडी नपा-१ हाटका २६ वर्षीय उमेश जोशीलाई फागुन १८ गते जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयको एक टोलीले गिरफ्तार गरेको छ । पीडित बालिकालाई बलात्कार गरेर हत्या गरेको आरोपमा पीडित पक्षले दिएको उजुरीका आधारमा अनुसन्धानका लागि आरोपितलाई गिरफ्तार गरिएको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय बैतडीका इन्स्पेक्टर राजेन्द्रबहादुर सिंहले जानकारी दिए । आरोपित जोशीको कोठामा बालिकाको शव झुण्डिएको अवस्थामा फेला परेको थियो । शवको पोष्टमार्टम जिल्ला अस्पताल बैतडीमा गरिएको छ ।
