The inmates and detainees in Raitahat prison are in agitation after the jail administration did not provide any facilities to them to celebrate Holi festival. In previous years, separate budget was allocated for them to celebrate this festival however this year no budget was provided to the inmates. The inmates and detainees chanted slogans in front of the main gate of the prison. CDO Uddhav Bahadur Thapa while commenting in social media site said that inmates and detainees cannot be provided separate budget to celebrate Holi festival. He added that only post natal and Dashain allowance are provided to the inmates and detainees. SP Yagya Binod Pokhrel of DPO said that last year the festival was celebrated with inmates and detainees in presence of Administration chief however this year it was not possible and that is why they are in agitation. He added that, it is not agitation but just a dissatisfaction shown by inmates and detainees. सरकारले कारागारमा रहेका बन्दीहरूलाई फागुपर्व (होली) मनाउन सुविधा नदिएको भन्दै गौर कारागारका बन्दीहरूले फागुन १८ गते साँझदेखि कारागार भित्रै आन्दोलन गरेका छन् । विगतका वर्षहरूमा सरकारको तर्फबाट बन्दीहरूका लागि छुट्टै बजेटको व्यवस्था गरिएकामा यस वर्षको होलीमा कुनै रकम नदिएकाले आन्दोलन गरेको बन्दीहरूले बताएका छन् । बन्दीहरूले कारागारको मुलद्वारमा बसेर नारा लगाएका थिए । प्रमुख जिल्ला अधिकारी उद्धवबहादुर थापाले नेपाल पत्रकार महासङ्घ रौतहटका अध्यक्ष रविन्द्र साहको फेसबुक स्टाटसमा कमेण्ट गर्दै राज्यले बन्दीहरूलाई दसैँमा र महिला बन्दीहरूलाई सुत्केरी भएमा मात्र अतिरिक्त सुविधा दिएको भन्दै बन्दीहरूलाई होली खर्चबापत छुट्टै रकम दिन नसकिने बताएका छन् । जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय रौतहटका एसपी यज्ञविनोद पोखरेलले विगतका वर्षहरूमा जिल्लाका प्रशासन प्रमुखहरूले बन्दीसँगै होली मनाउने गरिएकामा यस वर्षसमय अभावले गर्दा सम्भव नभएकाले बन्दीहरूले आन्दोलन गरेको नभइ सामान्य असन्तुष्टि मात्र व्यक्त गरेको प्रतिक्रिया दिएका छन् ।
