Three student unions affiliated to three major political parties on Thursday have announced an indefinite educational strike beginning Sunday. The CPN-UML-aligned All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), Nepali Congress-affiliated Nepal Students Union (NSU) and CPN-Maoist Centre-affiliated All Nepal National Independent Students Union-Revolutionary (ANNNISU-R) have announced the strike demanding that the provision of 75 per cent reservation to temporary teachers in examinations of the Teachers Service Commission that the ninth amendment to the Education Act incorporated be removed with a new amendment. They have also said the TSC’s examination scheduled for next week Friday should be postponed until their demand was met. Meanwhile, organisations representing private school operators have requested the student unions to postpone the strike for now as their protest will affect ongoing Secondary Education Examinations (SEE). PABSON General Secretary Rajendra Baniya says the unions should consider likely impacts of their strike on the mindset of SEE candidates. अस्थायी शिक्षकहरुको परीक्षा स्थगित गर्न माग गर्दै प्रमुख विद्यार्थी संगठनहरुले देशभरका क्याम्पस अगाडि प्रदर्शन र चक्काजाम गरेका छन् । काठमाडौं उपत्यकाका आरआर, त्रिचन्द्र लगायतका प्रमुख कलेज अगाडि बिहान करिब एक घण्टासम्म विद्यार्थीहरुले चक्काजाम गरे । चक्काजाम अवधिभर काठमाडौं उपत्यकाको ट्राफिक व्यवस्थापन प्रभावित भएको थियो । यही चैत २३ गते हुन लागेको अस्थायी शिक्षकहरुको परीक्षा स्थगित गर्न माग गर्दै अनेरास्ववियु, अखिल क्रान्तिकारी र नेबिसंघले प्रदर्शन गर्दै आएका छन् । शुक्रबार बिहान क्याम्पस अगाडि प्रदर्शन गरेका उनीहरुले मध्यान्ह माइतीघर मण्डलामा पनि प्रदर्शन गर्ने कार्यक्रम तय गरेका छन् । प्रमुख तीन विद्यार्थी संगठनहरुले १७ गतेदेखि भने आम शैक्षिक हड्ताल गर्ने घोषणा गरेका छन् । एसईई परीक्षाको बीचमै शैक्षिक हड्ताल गर्ने निर्णयमा पुनर्विचार गर्न निजी विद्यालयहरुको संस्था प्याब्सनले आग्रह गरेको छ । यही चैत ८ गतेबाट सुरु भएको यसईई परीक्षा चैत २० गते सकिँदैछ ।
