Transport workers block highway to protest police attack on driver

Transportation workers obstructed the traffic along the East-West Highway in Rautahat district for an hour on Monday to protest the alleged assault on a driver by traffic officers. Three police officers from District Traffic Police Office in Chandranigahapur allegedly attacked and injured Gopal Mahat, a truck driver, for parking his vehicle on the side of the highway. (PR)
