A man raped her daughter at Banka in Krishnapur Municipality-2 of Kanchanpur district on Tuesday. The man raped his 14-year-old daughter while she was sleeping in her room, police said. There was no one in the house when the incident occurred yesterday afternoon. The incident come to light after the victim lodged a complaint at the Area Police Office, Jhalari, saying that she was raped by her father when her mother was not in the house, Inspector Mohan Saud said. Based on the complaint, police swung into action and arrested the victim’s father. ‘A rape case has been filed against the man and investigating into the incident,” Inspector Saud said, adding, “After filing the complaint on Wednesday, the victim has been sent to a hospital for medical check-up.” He said that the victim has been kept at the safe house of the Jhalari-based Community Service Centre. Inspector Saud said the victim is in normal condition.
