Relatives and family members have demonstrated in front of Pyuthan District Hospital in Bijuwar following the death of a postpartum woman. Radhika Dhami, 23, of Dakhakwadi in Pyuthan Municipality died following a caesarian delivery on Tuesday night. Relatives have blamed the hospital administration of operating without adequate preparations. “There was no oxygen and they even tried to send the body elsewhere saying she was alive,” one relative said. District Health Office (DHO) Chief Bishan Subedi said doctors involved in the operation, however, had informed Dhami died after she was fed by her relatives. Security personnel have been deployed at the hospital to prevent any untoward incidents. The health of the newborn baby is said to be in good condition. DHO is coordinating for a discussion between the relatives and hospital administration regarding the matter.
