Police have arrested the ward chairman of Phalelung rural municipality-6 in Taplejung, Kamal Gurung on the charge of rape. Police arrested him on the basis of a complaint lodged by a local woman who accused him of raping her during the election campaign for local level election. Gurung had allegedly attempted to prevent the incident from being public. Police are further investigating on the incident. बलत्कारको आरोपमा पाँचथरका फालेलुङ गाँउपालिकका ६ का वडा सदस्य पक्राउ परेका छन् । फालेलुङ गाँउपालिका ६ का वडा सदस्य कमल गुरुङले स्थानिय एक महिलालाई जबरजस्ती करणी गरेको उजुरीका आधारमा गुरुङलाई पक्राउ गरीएको पाँचथर प्रहरीले जनाएको छ । निर्वाचनको समयमा भोट माग्न जादा शारिरीक सम्पर्कबाट गर्भ बसेपछि गाँउमै घटना मिलाउन खोजेको भन्दै पिडितको उजुरी परेपछि पक्राउ गरीएको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय पाँचथरका सूचना अधिकारी विज्ञान बस्नेतले जानकारी दिए । गुरुङलाई पक्राउ गरी जबरजस्ती करणी मुद्धामा म्याद थप गरी अनुसन्धान भइरको सूचना अधिकारी विज्ञान बस्नेतले जानकारी दिए ।
