An unidentified group vandalised Nilakantha Multiple Campus today during the internal examinations at Dhadingbesi in Dhading. The unidentified group entered the campus premises and vandalised the administration and account sections at 8:00am while students of bachelors second year were taking their internal examinations. Campus chief Nawaraj Sharma has issued a statement saying that two computers, two printers including two chairs, window panes, one telephone set, among others, were destroyed completely. A bachelor’s first year student, Kabita Shrestha, was also injured in the incident. The campus administration condemned the incident, saying the group had damaged campus property. The administration also demanded in the statement that the concerned authority should take immediate action to stop such unrest in the campus and bring back peaceful environment. The administration further asked the concerned authority to take action against the culprits, compensate for the damaged materials and provide treatment for the injured student. According to DSP Ram Bahadur KC in District Police Office, Dhading, a police team was deployed to search for the group involved in the vandalism. Education institutions shut down in Dhading and across the country due to a strike called by the sister student unions of Chand, Baidhya and Baburam Bhattarai-led parties. The three parties have demanded withdrawal of price hike in petroleum products. On June 2, Nepal Oil Corporation had increased fuel prices of petrol, diesel, kerosene and aviation turbine fuel. Following the same, almost all private schools and colleges were closed while only Nilkantha Multiple Campus was running. Police suspect the campus got vandalised as the campus did not support the strike called by the three parties. नीलकण्ठ नगरपालिका-३ धादिङबेसी स्थित नीलकण्ठ बहुमूखी क्याम्पस र नीलकण्ठ उच्च माविमा नेत्रविक्रम चन्द ‘विप्लव’ नेतृत्वको नेकपाको भातृ सङ्गठन अनेरास्ववियू क्रान्तिकारीका विद्यार्थी कार्यकर्ताले जेठ २१ गते विद्यालयमा आक्रमण गर्दा एक विद्यार्थी घाइते भएका छन् । ५/६ जनाको समूहले विद्यालयमा ढुङ्गामुढा गरी आक्रमण गरेको थियो । आक्रमणबाट कक्षाकोठाभित्र रहेकी स्नातक तह प्रथम वर्षमा अध्ययनरत १९ वर्षीया कविता श्रेष्ठ घाइते भएको क्याम्पस प्रमुख नवराज शर्माले बताए । क्याम्पसमा परीक्षा सञ्चालन भइरहेको र पठनपाठन समेत भइरहेको बेला आक्रमण भएको थियो । आक्रमणबाट दुई थान कम्प्यूटर, तीन थाप प्रिन्टर, दुई थान कूर्सी, एक थान टेलिफोन सेट, आठ ओटा झ्यालका सिसा फुटेर क्षति पुगेको क्याम्पस प्रशासनले जनाएको छ । घटनापछि नीलकण्ठ क्याम्पस बन्द गरिएको छ । सो सङ्गठनले मूल्य वृद्धिको विरोधमा शैक्षिक हड्तालको आह्वान गरेको थियो ।
