Police have arrested 33 years old husband on June 3 on charge of marital rape on 28 years old wife. The victim had lodged complaint at District Police Office of Morang on June 2 against the accused for marital rape on her before beating her on June 3. Inspector Jamuna Basnet of District Police Office said that the accused was arrested on a same day for further investigation. The victim said that she was under the medication after having uterus issues and her husband was torturing her for the last one month and compelled her for physical relationship. The victim underwent health checkup at Koshi Zonal Hospital in Biratnagar on June 4.
