Locals at Kharahani-9, Chitwan started relay hunger strike on May 31 demanding to resume construction of a bridge over Chyatra Khola. The protestors said the hunger strike would go on indefinitely unless the government agrees to complete the bridge. According to locals, the bridge was supposed to be finished by end of Asar,20175 (according to the Nepali Calendar), however, nothing was done yet. चितवनको खैरहनी नगरपालिका-९,करैयामा टेन्डर भएपनि पुल निर्माण हुन नसकेको भन्दै सो वडाका स्थानीयले अनिश्चितकालिन रिले अनसन सुरु गरेका छन् ।खैरहनी-९,सिमलटाँडी चोकदेखि करिब ३ सय मिटर उत्तरतर्फ पर्ने च्यात्रा खोलामा करिब ६ करोडको लागतमा पुल निर्माणका लागि बजेट परेको थियो। बि.सं २०७३ साल असार ३० गते निर्माण सुरु गर्नुपर्ने भएपनि अहिलेसम्म कुनै काम नभएको भन्दै स्थानीयले रिले अनसन सुरु गरेका हुन् ।
