Heath workers at Mirchaiya municipality staged a sit-in at the municipal office demanding salary due since last 5 months. As many as 65 health workers from One Primary Health Center and 7 Health posts in Mirchaiya faced dire situations with no salary for months. The agitated health workers said it was difficult for them to pay rents, children's school fee as well as to run the house due to which they suffered from mental and physical problems. However, Mayor Shrawan Kumar Yadav stated that they did have money to pay salaries as the Health ministry did not issue any money yet. विगत पाँच महिनादेखि तलब भट्ट नपाएको भन्दै स्वास्थ्यकर्मीहरुले सिरहाको मिर्चैया नगरपालिकामा धर्ना दिएका छन्।तलब उपलब्ध गराउन पटक पटक माग गरेपनि नगरपालिकाले गत माघ महिनादेखि मासिक तलब उपलब्ध नगराएकाले बाध्य भएर धर्ना बस्नु परेको स्वास्थ्यकर्मिहरुले बताए । तलब बुझ्न नपाउदा घरखर्च, बच्चाहरुको शैक्षिक खर्च र घरभाडासमेत तिर्न नसकेको भन्दै स्वास्थ्यकर्मिहरुले मानसिक र शारीरिक समस्याको सामना गर्नु परेको दुखेसो पोखे।मिर्चैया नगरपालिकाका प्रमुख श्रवन कुमार यादवले स्वास्थ्य मन्त्रालयबाट रकम नपठाएकाले तलब वितरण गर्न नसकेको बताए ।मिर्चैया नगरपालिकामा एउटा प्राथमिक स्वास्थ्य केन्द्र र सातवटा स्वास्थ्य चौकीमा गरी करिब ६५ जना स्वास्थ्यकर्मी कार्यरत छन् ।
