54-year-old Kul Bahadur Limbu was held hostage at Golden hospital, Biratnagar for not being able to pay his hospital fee. According to his family, Limbu was admitted to the hospital after he got injured from falling off a tree at his residence in Taplejung on March 10. Since then Limbu was held hostage by the hospital administration. According to Kul Bahadur's son, doctor's diagnosed blood clot on his head and suggested immediate surgery for which they asked for Rs. 1 lakh as a fee. The hospital did not discharge him unless the fee was cleared.
