A motorcyclist died after being hit by a tipper at Chaardobato Chowk in Banepa Municiplaity-7 in Kavrepalanchowk district on Monday. According to the District Police Office, Kavrepalanchowk, the identity of the deceased has not been ascertained. SP Raviraj Khadka informed that the incident took place when a tipper heading towards Dhulikhel from Banepa hit the motorcycle heading towards the same direction. The motorcyclist, critically injured incident, was rushed to the Scheer Memorial Hospital in Banepa where he breathed his last during the treatment. Following the incident, irate locals set the tipper on a fire and completely destroyed the vehicle. Furthermore, they also caused damaged to the police beat in the Chaardobato Chowk. Security personnel, with the help from fire brigade, have put off the fire. Police have impounded the tipper and arrested the driver, Sudhan Shrestha, 29, of Bidur Municiplaity-1 in the district.
