At least two people were seriously injured in a clash between the armed police and locals at bordering area of Harinagar Rural Municipality-6 and 7 on the evening of July 26. Kaijum Miya, 46 of Hari Nagar Municipality-6, Ghuski and 27 years old Mahijaan Khatun of the same place were injured after the armed police opened the fire to control the mob according to DSP Dev Raj Bista of DPO. They are seriously injured and receiving treatment at Noble Hospital in Biratnagar. It is said that the clash started after a woman was attempted to rape by the armed policemen on the evening of July 26 and police had opened seven rounds of fire after the clash was out of control however locals have claimed that at least 20 rounds of fire and tear gas was used by the police. Meanwhile, more than 90 policemen were deployed in the area in command of armed police DSP Bista and DSP Narayan Prasad Chimoriya of Nepal Police. सीमावर्ती क्षेत्र हरिनगर गाउँपालिका–६ र ७ घुस्कीका स्थानीयहरू र सशस्त्र प्रहरीबीच साउन ९ गते साँझ भएको झडपमा सशस्त्र प्रहरीले गोली चलाउँदा दुई जना गम्भीर घाइते भएका छन् । प्रहरीको गोली लागेर हरिनगर नपा–६ घुस्कीका ४६ वर्षीय कैजुम मियाँ र सोही ठाउँकी २५ वर्षीया महिजान खातुन घाइते भएको सशस्त्र प्रहरीका डिएसपी देवराज विष्टले बताए । गम्भीर घाइतेद्वयको उपचार विराटनगरस्थित नोबेल अस्पतालमा भइरहेको छ । ९ गते साँझ बाख्रा चराएर फर्किँदै गरेकी एक महिलालाई सशस्त्र प्रहरीका एक जवानले बलात्कारको प्रयास गरेपछि स्थानीय आन्दोलित बनेको जनाइएको छ । सोही क्रममा सशस्त्रले आत्मरक्षाका लागि ७ राउण्ड हवाई फायर गरेको डिएसपी विष्टले बताए । तर, स्थानीयले भने अश्रु ग्यास र २० राउण्ड गोली फायर गरेको दावी गरेका छन् । यसैबीच सो क्षेत्रमा सशस्त्र प्रहरीका डिएसपी विष्ट र नेपाल प्रहरीका डिएसपी नारायणप्रसाद चिमौरियाको कमाण्डमा ९० जना प्रहरी परिचालन गरिएको जिल्ला प्रशासन कार्यालय सुनसरीले जनाएको छ । गाउँपालिका अध्यक्ष गफार अन्सारीको पहलमा दुई पक्षबीच वार्ता भएको छ ।
