Two teenagers aged 15 and 17 years were reportedly raped in Surkhet on August 18. The incident became public after the victims' family lodged a complaint at Area Police Office on Wednesday. Police arrested 21-year-old Ashish BK, an accused in the rape incident. Meanwhile, another youth accused of being involved in raping the girls is on the run. According to Madhusudhan Neupane, head of Area Police Office Chinchu, the arrested youth and his friend raped the girls who had gone to neighour's house to watch dance by taking them to an isolated place. Police are further investigating on the incident छिमेकीकाे घरमा नाच हेर्न गएका पूर्वी सुर्खेतका दुई बालिका बलात्कृत भएका छन्। भदौ २ गते राति नाच हेर्न गएका १५ र १७ वर्षीया बालिका बलात्कृत भएको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ। इलाका प्रहरी कार्यालयमा पीडित बालिकाका आफन्तले बुधबार जाहेरी दिएपछि घटना बाहिर आएको हो। प्रहरीले बलात्कारमा संलग्न २१ वर्षीय आशिष विकलाई पक्राउ गरेको छ।अर्का एक जना भने फरार रहेका छन्। इलाका प्रहरी कार्यालय छिन्चुका प्रमुख प्रहरी निरीक्षक मधुशुदन न्यौपानेका अनुसार छिमेकमा रातिको समयमा नाच हेर्न गएकी दुई बालिकालाई दुई युवकले एकान्तमा लगेर बलात्कार गरेका हुन्। प्रहरीले बिहीबार दुबै बालिकाको स्वास्थ्य परीक्षण गरेको छ। पक्राउ परेका विकलाई जिल्ला अदालतबाट म्याद थप गरेर अनुसन्धान अघाडी बढाइएको र फरारको खोजी भइरहेको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ।
