Locals of Mathagadhi Rural Municipality-1, Chidipani have padlocked the ward office on September 20 accusing the ward chairman and local representatives for their involvement in financial mishandling jointly with the chair of drinking water project consumers committee. Locals and consumers chanted slogans and padlocked the office alleging project chair Ram Raj Regmi of Arpidada drinking water project for his involvement in financial irregularities. The drinking water consumers have complained that they are deprived of water based on political affiliation. Ward chair Shiva Prasad Ghimire said that the complaints of locals will be investigated.
