Police arrested a 21-year-old man on charge of raping a four-year-old girl in Haldibari Rural Municipality-2, Jhapa, on Sunday. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Jitendra Kumar Basnet, the suspect was detained for investigation as per the complaint lodged by the victim’s family. Police did not disclose the perpetrator’s name stating that it could affect their investigation. This is a second incident of child rape to occur in Haldibari within a week.A couple of days earlier, an eight-year-old girl from Haldibari-3 was raped by a teenage boy. झापाको हल्दिबारी गाउँपालिकाका एक युवक चार वर्षीया बालिका बलात्कार आरोपमा पक्राउ परेका छन्। हल्दिबारी-१३ जलथलका २१ वर्षीय युवकले सोही छिमेकी बालिकालाई बलात्कार गरेको आरोपमा पक्राउ गरिएको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय झापाका प्रहरी प्रबक्ता जितेन्द्रकुमार बस्नेतले जानकारी दिए। पक्राउ पर्ने युवक र बालिकाको घरसँगै रहेकाले उनको नाम नखुलाइएको बस्नेतले बताए। प्रवक्ता बस्नेतका अनुसार आइतबार दिउँसो छिमेकी बालिकालाई ती युवकले साइकलमा घुमाउन लगेका थिए। छिमेकी भएकाले बालिकाले युवकलाई मामा भन्ने भन्ने गरेकी थिइन्। सोही नाताको फाइदा उठाउँदै घुम्न गएको समयमा युवकले बलात्कार गरेको र घर पुगेपछि बालिकाको योनीमा रगत देखेपछि पीडित परिवारले प्रहरीमा उजुरी गरेका थिए। युवकलाई प्रहरीले आइतबार राति पक्राउ गरिएको हो। पीडित बालिकाको मेची अञ्चल अस्पताल भद्रपुरमा स्वास्थ्य परीक्षण गरिएको छ। घटनाबारे अनुसन्धान भइरहेको प्रहरीले बताएको छ।
