Locals of Nepalgunj demonstrated against the custodial death of Ram Manohar Yadav on August 31 at Bardiya. On Sep 25, the demonstration led by the Independent Madhes Alliance went around Triveni road and Kamal Madhesi Chowk and turned into a corner assembly in front of the Chief District Office. They demanded that Yadav be declared a martyr, due compensation to the victim's family and action against the perpetrators. प्रहरी हिरासतमा मृत्यु भएका राम मनोहर यादवको शव २५ दिनदेखि प्रहरीले अस्पतालमै राखेको छ ।अन्तिम संस्कार गर्न परिवारलाई शव नदिएको र मृत्युको कारणबारे पोष्टमार्टम रिपोर्ट सार्वजनिक नगरेको भन्दै नेपालगंजमा बृहत जनप्रदर्शन भएको छ । स्वतन्त्र मधेश गठबन्धनले राम मनोहरलाई शहिद घोषणा गर्नुपर्ने,परिवारलाई राहत दिनुपर्ने,पीडकलाई कारवाही गर्नुपर्ने माग राख्दै आएको छ ।यी मागहरु पूरा नभएको भन्दै बाँकेवासी आक्रोशित भएका छन् ।मंगलबार त्रिवेणी मोड हुँदै कमल मधेशी चौकलाई परिक्रमा गरी सिडिओ कार्यालय अगाडी भिड जनसभामा परिणत भएको थियो ।
