At least six local vendors were injured in a clash with police at Birendranagar of Surkhet on November 25. The clash started when local vendors attempted to demolish the barbed wire fence put at open field in Birendranagar. The fence was put in the field by the local level restricting not to operate any business fair until the procedure regarding the operation is not formulated.
In a clash, 38 years old Prem Pandey of Birendranagar Municipality-6, 33 years old Rajesh Khanal, 35 years old Hari Shrestha, 31 years old Ajaya Gurung, 37 years old Yogendra Khatri and 40 years old Krishna Thapa were injured.
All injured are receiving treatment at local Deuti and Maya Nursing Home. DSP Basanta Khatri of DPO confirmed about the clash and it was minor use of force.
