Land owners of the land near the Jonwa river joining Jumla and Dolpa, blocked the road demanding compensation for the land they lost to construction of road. Over two dozen people's private land was used during bridge construction almost 3 years ago.
Even after appealing for the compensation from long time ago they hadn't received the compensation, therefore they were compelled to block the road.
Chandnath Municipality and Guthichaur Municipality had promised to manage 53 lakhs and 40 lakhs respectively for compensation but the money isn't managed says one of the land owner Dinesh Sunar. If the decision isn't be made this week, they have warned to block the road of Tila river too.
According to Guthichaur Rural Municipality's President Hari Bahadur Bhandari, disputed land of Dansangu doesn't comes under his area that's way he couldn't provide the compensation.
According to Lal Bahadur Sarki, Head of District Coordination Committee meeting is being held to dissolved the dispute and unblock the road.
