A complaint against domestic violence has been lodged by 42 years old Dil Maya Buda at District Court on January 10. The victim said that she was beaten and mentally tortured by her husband Bhade Buda Magar,43 , a chairperson of Naumule Rural Municipality.

Buda was elected as a chairperson of Naumule Rural Municipality and he has been accused of beating his wife on the night of December 26. The complaint lodged by her wife also accused him of polygamy.

If found guilty , the accused will be sentenced for six months along with the penalty of Rs 25,000.
