A 63-year-old woman died after she was severely beaten by her son at Champadevi Rural Municipality-5 in Okhaldhunga district. Police said Naramaya Karki died on the spot after being thrashed by her son Tanka Bahadur Karki, 38, on Thursday evening. Police Inspector Rajib Shrestha said that Naramaya was bludgeoned with a wooden plank. Police arrested Tanka Bahadur soon after the incident. The man is said to have attacked his mother over an argument involving his wife. The body of the deceased has been sent to the District Hospital for postmortem. (PR)
