The 23-year-old, Punam Gaud of Pratappur Rural Municipality-6 filed a complaint at the District Police Office, stating that she was beaten by her 24-year-old husband Gyanendra Gaud and 45-year-old father-in-law Ashok Gaud on February 10.
The victim lodged a complaint in District Police Office on February 11 saying the accused had attacked her with a knife. In the complaint, she had also added that the accused also made comments on her questioning her morality.
The police said that a similar incident had occurred earlier.
The victim was treated at a local medical hospital and filed a application demanding appropriate action against the accused.
According to the victim, she has not been able to register the birth of her two children as the family has not given her citizenship and registered the marriage.
