A 25-year-old woman has been seriously injured after being shot by her husband in Baglung. The injured woman has been identified as 25-year-old Bal Kumari Gharti, a resident of Patleki in Badigad rural municipality-10 of the district.
Bal Kumari was reportedly shot by her husband, 35-year-old Chandra Bahadur Gharti on February 28 during a domestic dispute between the two. She is undergoing treatment at Burtibang Health Center. Locals were only able to inform the police about the incident on March 1 due to heavy rainfall and snow, informed DSP Chiranjivi Koirala of DPO Baglung.
Police are meanwhile looking for the assailant who went on the run. Police recovered the weapon used in the incident during search operation.
