Police have arrested 38-year-old Poltu Mahara of Golbazar municipality-9 Dandatol on the charge of raping a 12-year-old local girl. Police deployed from Area Police Golbazar after being reported about the incident arrested Mahara while he was attempting to flee, informed DSP Madhavraj Kharel of District Police Office Siraha. The victim had reported that Mahara raped her on Friday while she was returning home from the field. Both the accused and the victim underwent medical examination. Police are further investigating on the incident.
