Locals of Sukhipur municipality in Siraha picketed Area Police Office Patari demanding action against the accused of a gang rape incident that took place around two weeks ago. Locals and Human Rights activists vented their anger at the police for not being able to arrest all the culprits involved in the heinous crime.
Locals, Samsul Miya, Isharaful Miya and Salamad Miya of neigboring village had raped a 35-year-old local woman at her house on chhath.
According to Inspector Bhusan Yadav of Area Police Office Patari, police have arrested two persons and are looking for the other who is on the run.
