50-year-old Chait Tajpuria of Gauriganj rural municipality-6 Jhapa has been arrested for allegedly raping a teenage. According to police, he was arrested on the charge of impregnating the victim who is related to him by raping her.

Inspector Tekendra Poudel of the Gauriganj Area Police office informed that police arrested Tajpuria on the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim's father. The victim is 5-month-old pregnant as a result of the rape. She underwent medical examination at Mechi Zonal Hospital.

Police are further investigating on the incident by holding Tajpuria into custody.
