A 28-year-old woman was raped in Kailali all while the 16 Days Activism on Violence against Women is being organized throughout the country. A 28-year-old woman from Ghodaghadi municipality-9 Shikharjhala with mental disability was raped by her neighbour Sher Bahadur Rawal, 40yrs. Rawal is a relative of the victim.  According to Yakshyaraj Joshi, Head of Area Police Office Sukhad, Rawal went on the run after raping the woman. 

The incident only came to light on November 25, although the victim was raped on November 22 when she had gone to the jungle to graze cattle.  Police said, they have started a manhunt to nab Rawal after a complaint was lodged against him at Area Police Office Sukhad.
