Police arrested one person on Wednesday along with homemade gun from phedap municipality-5, Tahruthum. District Police Office Tehrathum said the arrested has been identified as 40-year-old Buddha Bahadur Tamang.
A police team was deployed from Samdu police post after Tamang's neighbours reported to the police that he had injured his wife by striking her with sharp weapon and also allegedly pointed a home-made gun at her during a domestic dispute. The police team arrested Tamang from his home and seized the home-made gun. His wife underwent medical examination at Ishibu health post. Police are further investigating on the incident by holding the accused into custody at DPO.
