Workers who are responsible for cleaning Janakpurdham staged a protest demanding salary. They staged the protest claiming that Janakpur sub-metropolis had not paid them for the last two months.

The workers accused Mayor Lal Kishor Sah of verbally abusing them when accosted by workers in regards to salary. They demand that Mayor Shah apologizes to the workers and they are paid two months salary. Meanwhile, Deputy Mayor Rita Jha has requested the workers to return to work, assuring them that the problem would be resolved soon.
