The president and another consumer, who were deployed to control the forest fire, got into a fight in Gaighat. Barma Lal Dahal, 72, the president of Aasari community forest consumer group, and Bibandra Thapa, a consumer of the same group, were attacked by Bishnu Bahadur Thapa, the former president of the same group on Friday night.
According to Jaggeshwar Sah, the information officer of the Gaighat Division Forest Office, Thapa attacked those two people after he was caught lighting a fire in the forest.
